i am so disappointed at the inappropriate comments posted here; we don't have to be disrespectful when we disagree or dissent; we can do so with respect and maturity and class

"wo3 xiang3 you3 yi1 dian3 gao3" I believe this is Jenny's meaning- " I think it's a little confusing" (gao3 means confusing); does that make sense in the context of their discussion?

Sorry, I mean "mu2ru3wei4yang3" means to nurse or breastfeed. So much for clarifying things...

Another great lesson! And, so very true to life! Just a little point, to clarify what could be confusing. "To nurse a baby" in English means strictly to breastfeed, not bottlefeed, a baby. Please correct me if I am wrong, but "wei4nai3" should not be translated as "to nurse" since "mu2ru3wie4nai3" means to nurse or breastfeed. N'est pas? (That's about the extent of my French!)

cavadarossi "give yourself time to become accustomed to hearing the tones" Thanks for the encouragement; this community is for the most part very encouraging. But I was suggesting to Jenny a teaching strategy to improve her effectiveness as a teacher, not because I have trouble with the tones. But poddies like you (and I) bring warmth to the community's mutual learning : )

Clarence, that's my son. I am an adult female, as in Arizona ER Doctor and Mom : ) And, I am actually older than 41.

Clarence Could you try and release your finger from the exclamation key on the keyboard a little quicker as you type? If it's matter of a stiff pinky, I can prescribe something for you if you want. Just let me know. I find myself wanting to put a 盾 up to avoid your text 矛 ; )
