May 2, 2007 at 2:17 PMduring my too short time in china, in most my meals i ate with others using serving sticks for each dish. but one night, i ate with a family at their home each each person using their own sticks to serve themselves. i was a little nervous, but is this a problem in china? that people get sick from other's germs when eating this way?

April 27, 2007 at 4:50 PMAmber- I really like the contextual feedback on synonyms. I've actually copied the one on 'to understand' to study on it's own.

April 24, 2007 at 1:39 PMJenny- 'Does anyone find these 2 exhausting?' No way! Tedium is exhausting. These guys are invirgorating! The guessing game is great, but no doubt that Lantian's is the best. I've seen many tragic endings (gong li's nervous breakdown at end of 'Red Lantern..'?), but 'suzhou river' might be my favorite with respect to a couple.

April 22, 2007 at 2:58 PMWhat a great discussion. The numbers talk was very interesting. And I enjoy contextual information such as LaoBa's contribution. I wonder more about other 'insults' that can be used in a teasing context (would hate to make a showstopping comment). I know there was such a lesson before, but it'd be great to hear comments from the group.

May 15, 2007 at 2:55 PMHey, great lesson! Also timely for me. Anyway, seems you left the vocab list short? Bride, groom, best man, etc.
