March 29, 2009 at 11:45 AMGood job Light, dont worry mate, it happens to everyone. That first time you try to use Chinese and you get that "Roo in the headlights look". And you just know you said it right. Wrong. After a while they will understand you, but then a terrible thing happens, they answer you. Now its your turn to be the Roo. And so it goes. Now you have to come back once a year and test your progress. Giving up is not an option.

I agree. There is no better fish in the world if cooked right. Not that well known however. It is nothing like ocean perch. Nothing like any other fish I have ever eaten. Fried in beer batter with fine bread crumbs is just heaven. Yes Sandusky is very near to me. I can walk to the lake from my house and I spent a lot of time there as a boy. There is nothing like spending the night at the lake with a campfire, catching and cooking perch, drinking beer and watching the sun rise over the glass like smooth survace of a calm lake. But then our thoughts turned more and more toward girls. :-) by by lake.

I can pick up peanuts, but I know Im not doing it right. when I try to separate fingers like spock they always want to go off on an angle unless like you say, one has to make subtle adjustments to the middle finger position. How hard can it be :-)

"night crawlers". I have the same memory. My aunt and uncle had a boat and we would catch Lake erie perch two at a time on spreaders. Sometimes we would catch 150 fish in a day. I also used fishing as an excuse to sleep at the lake with my friends. Later it became an excuse to drink beer. I think we caught more fish before we discovered beer :-)
Anyway, I thought this lesson was well presented. I kind of like the inserted sample sentences.

yes, PDF would be nice. Time to give those backend software mechanics a boot in the back end. Ahead of schedule and under budget should be their mantra. This isnt the minor leagues any more. Where I come from squid would have fried long ago.
