November 7, 2016 at 6:53 PMI think this lesson missed the opportunity to discuss the various uses of 了 presented here. It's one thing to be able to get what the sentence is meaning, quite another to be able to produce them correctly. I think that 了 is so complex, it can never hurt to review and remind what the 了s are doing, especially when you have a lesson with various uses of 了, as here.

Could you explain in more detail exactly what sort of area this is referring to? Would this mean living at a high elevation among mountains? Would it mean living in a valley between mountains? Would it mean living anywhere with a view of mountains?
