Pinkjeans,

or is that 我现在知道。

changye,

I understand your point about 比较 meaning "relatively".  As I understand Pinkjeans, the comparison is then "relative" to whatever was previously stated or known. Am I on the right track here?

Thanks Xuchen and changye,

I definitely missed "完儿", for "玩儿".  That was a sloppy mistake.  I think I like changye's " Chinesepod的课我都喜欢 " and combine that with the second half to make

Chinesepod

Perhaps I missed the point of 比 and 比较。

xuchen, your first sentence, "我比较喜欢四川菜", doesn't seem to compare anything but still uses 比较。

If I try to follow the examples of the lesson, could I say;

Also, are 比·and 比较 interchangeable?

See if these work....

One thing I found interesting about driving in China is that there is a visible timer to countdown the wait at Red Lights.  This gives those already anxious drivers an even better opportunity to jump the red when it gets close to zero.  That can lead to bad things when the other guys are of course trying to get through the "yellow" at the last second.

tvan,

Once you get by the stingers, claws and spikey feet, I can't see there is much to them.  I don't even like to peel shrimp!

For your added enjoyment, here is another shot.  This one is from a vendor in Lijiang (Yunnan).  I didn't try these either.

Several of you mentioned the scorpions.  You see they even have Sea Horses!!!

I've been trying to insert this for several days.  Thanks to Tvan's instructions I finally got it in here.

Sorry, this is in the wrong lesson.  I was trying to post a picture in the Hungry Traveler, but I can't figure out how to post a picture.
