STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM - 有没有人看温网吗? 在中国内他们博出来温布尔登网公开赛左右02:00-04:00早上。如果你要看的话真让身体累了! 有两个句子我从网球学到但是也能随用: 第一是‘登’,这是喜来登大酒店的名字的登。:) 第二是‘稳定’。比如说,你打球很稳定。他的正手不稳定。 如果你也听中文博客,有一天XiaoXia也说了”女生比较喜欢稳定的工作。“ 温网 wen wang, short for Wimbledon 温布尔登网公开赛, wen bu er deng championship

Hi Clarence, I'm pretty much convinced now that you are just posting for the fun of posting an opposite point of view. 好无聊啊。(To translate for you, hao wu liao a, It's very boring! Did you catch that? I didn't indicate the tones. Except for my sarcastic one.) Don't forget that it only costs 25 cents to buy the Chinese paper to get the 'perfect' Chinese writing that you so desire. 一路平安

ERRANDS - I did a search of the podcasts, looks like searching by hanzi is impossible? Anyway, for a future lesson how about going over "趟”。tang4 It seems very useful to me, and is the closest thing to the English "I'm going to go do some errands" that I've come across. It's also a verb that seems to not be covered in typical textbooks, etc. 因为我后天要回去一趟, If it's in a previous podcast, please point it out for me. 谢!

Yah Amber, what's 'artiface' mean. ;p I liked the intro, even though now I have to use both online Chinese AND English dictionaries. j/k

Opps, the English disappeared on the first line of the English version of the story. Person: So there's this person like an onion. He cried all the time. Hi XiaoHu, From what you're saying I think your pronunciation is probably very much above average. The compliments are probably sincere, but nobody is saying you're the next Chinese Shakespeare either. Keep in mind also, that just as in English we can pretty much tell in a blindingly-fast instant with just the word 'hello' whether a person is from Australia, Europe, Russia, ...Canada, well maybe that's a bit harder, the Chinese can do the same. So it's easy for a Chinese person to hear a typical non-Chinese accent in an instant, they can also tell whether a person is from Harbin, Suzhou, Taiwan, HK, etc. It's just natural. With your acting skills you should practice some weird China province accent, so you could kinda be like Johnny Dep doing a fake Brit accent or like Madonna who all sounds like the Queen mother now. j/k

Hi Clarence, I'd like to un-officially nominate you for deputization as Super-Duper Tone Police Plena-Assistant in charge of the greater duper area. hao4bu2haoooo. Lantian's alt-anecdote about being toneless and happy in Chinese. ONIONS AND CREAM Person: Little boy: Uncle, your Chinese is really weird but you're funny. Can we go get ice cream? Person: Haha, okay. Do you want qiao-ke-li? 大人: 有一个人好象洋葱。他每天哭! 小儿子:叔叔,你的中文很怪怪,不过我喜欢你。我不喜欢洋葱,我们可以去卖冰淇淋吗? 大人:哈哈,好的。你要不要cho-co-late? Moral of the story: Hang out with ice cream buddies and not crabby old ladies.

Tim 哦, 哈哈。我还好。你知道吗,我在日本住了一段时间所以我有点会说日语。不过多时间已经过了,多忘记了。有时候我听读日语是有感动,想出来以前的好朋友。natsukashi koto omoidashida da yo. 真可惜这件电脑打不出来kanji.
