That wasn't a translation... but the cross-street coming up at the next intersection is normally perpendicular to the one you're on, yes.

Yes, I second the above comment.

In this context, 那么 sounds to me like the relationship is already over, whereas 这么 sounds like it's just in jeopardy.

So:

你们俩感情那么好... why did you break up?

你们俩感情这么好... why would you want to break up?
