June 28, 2011 at 1:37 AMHaha, nice! The support is much appreciated! It's going to be a big transition into traditional characters, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I hope I don't have any 问题s at this point though! ;)

June 28, 2011 at 1:33 AMThanks a lot! You reading this, John? ;) In all honestly though, if I ever came even close to John's level/ability with the podcasts, I'd be happy.
Not sure about Greg hosting. We'll have to see I guess!

June 28, 2011 at 1:27 AMSorry for the late response, everyone! I've been riding a motorcyle around Hunan province (and skinny dipping as much as possible along the way) and haven't had much internet access till now. (If you ever get the chance, check out the Dehang scenic area valley between Fenghuang and Zhangjiajie. Absolutely gorgeous!)
Thank you all so much for your support and comments. I can't express how much it means to me. Working at ChinesePod has been a great experience, and none of it would be possible without you guys.
I'll do my best to stick my head in from time to time and say hi. Like I said in the podcast, I'm definitely a lifer as far as Chinese language learning goes. ChinesePod万岁!
And again, thank you so much!

June 21, 2011 at 1:55 PMYeah, 'faucet' is normal American English. Tap works too though.
Posted on: A Trip to Nanjing
June 21, 2011 at 1:51 PMAbsolutely! I've always found the people in Nanjing to be extremely friendly. I too have learned a ton from cabbies in Nanjing. I've also eaten (1) 旺鸡蛋. I have to say, I was expecting it to be strange/gross, but it actually just tasted like (I suppose not so surprisingly) a chicken nugget...

June 21, 2011 at 3:12 AMInteresting! Thanks. I supposed I just could have googled that myself, but hey. :)
Yeah, some of my Chinese friends like 三国杀, so I bought a set for fun (only about 30元 or so for a starter kit) and tried to play. If you familiarize yourself with the rulebook a bit (mine came with a disc) and the names of the phases of the turns, the language on the cards is actually not too hard. I only ended up playing it a few times, but it was pretty fun. (cool artwork too)
