Yeah, the 我自己来做吧 should be 'I'll do it myself'. Fixed. Good to remember though, this 来 is figurative and not literally, 'to come'.

This is just one of those times when technically the tone is one way (3rd), but it's very often read another (neutral). So often in fact that some dictionaries list it as 3rd and some as neutral.

Hi,

排场的场 is third tone, but is sometimes said with a neutral tone within a sentence. There's no difference in meaning.

Yeah, that 超重 means that the baby's weight 超s the 标准的体重, so it should be '1 kg overweight'. Thanks for noticing!

Might sound a bit strange, but it's the accepted term. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Hands

It's sometimes translated as 'China expert' as well, however.

Yeah, 黑天 is very seldom used to mean 'night'. The use of of 黑 with 天 is most common as a verb, i.e.: 天快黑了, 'it will be dark out soon'.

This just comes down to how you interpret/use the word 'tired'. In the context of being ready for bed, tired and sleepy are interchangeable in my book. In fact, I rarely use the word sleepy. That being said, there is a difference between 累 and 困, where 累 refers specifically to being out of energy and 困 to being 'sleepy'.

暧昧 is one of those words that has taken on more meaning than the current dictionary definition reflects. As an adjective it does mean simply, ambiguous, the other meaning is erm...ambiguous. It can mean both to flirt and to have an affair depending on how it's used. Here's some examples of its various uses.
