接送 - jiēsòng, to take to and from
道路 - dàolù, streets, roads
熟悉 - shúxī, to know something well, to be familiar with
绕圈子 - ràoquānzi, to make a detour, go a longer way, go in a cirlce
惯例 - guànlì, practice, convention
主动 - zhǔdòng, to initiate, to take the initiative to
出车祸 - chūchēhuò, to have a car accident
指标 - zhíbiāo - quota, target
包含 - bāohán, to include
素质 - sùzhi, quality
精神 - jīngshén, spiritual, mental

As far as I know, there isn't a special word to indicate confirming again. So yeah, 再确认 is a common and natural way to say 'reconfirm'. You can throw a 次 after the 再 and say 再次确认 to be more emphatic also.

March 27, 2011 at 8:53 AMGive it a shot! It was my way of staying at least somewhat within a realm of vocab I was familiar with. I definitely think learning to be a little zen about not understanding everything is a good way to approach conversations. (especially with particularly 啰嗦 cabbies!) I am curious as to how many questionable things I've said "对对对" to over the years. Ha!
