November 27, 2010 at 9:58 PMThe Dialogue is very helpful to review the words in the Qing Wen lesson.
really great.
What would be even more better, useful, and applicable is if you took all the audio recordings recorded in the dialogue section and combined them together on one audio recording.
That would be essential and very significant in helping people who take seriously the lessons taught on Qing Wen to retain and actively use what is taught on the lessons.
It would break the barrier of difficulty in retaining vocabularies used on QW and make it easy for people to effectively get more out of each QW lesson.

November 25, 2010 at 6:02 PMyears ago people used to save their own vocabulary words on the chinesepod vocabulary bank and type in their own chinese and definitions and save them in the vocab bank. did that change along time ago or what?

November 25, 2010 at 5:57 PMmy wife (HK chinese) used to go with her whole school class to the hospital to check their teethe but during years of having her teethe checked she had only had her teethe cleaned once or twice.
it is not common like in the States for people to periodically to have their teethe cleaned. lots of chinese wait until their teethe have a problem to go and see a dentist. hence the need for teethe pulling. maybe has to do with alot of older generation chinese are still very traditional so they haven't adapted to seeing dentists.

November 17, 2010 at 2:11 PMway to go DiLu! you did great!
My wife always thought i was weird when i didn't want to "every" night or wash my face in the morning. I explained to her i was used to showering in the morning, etc. Now i am more chinese. Showered last night, and washed my face this morning before study.
I would much prefer a chinese duck and rice than i would any fast food burger nowadays. But i don't greet people and say excuse me like i used to.
the contrasts in western and chinese culture are quite funny sometimes.
