September 28, 2010 at 10:31 PMAlso if you want to tell someone "you are (this chengyu)"
used in the right context it can be like telling someone they are blind and stubborn stuck in a bad condition, lifestyle, circumstance, etc. and that if they want to change they can get out of the well into blessing and freedom and a fruitful life.
sadly this is the condition of most people,
but on the bright side this is a great chengyu to use!

September 28, 2010 at 10:20 PMi learned this chengyu ages ago in cantonese.
love it!
wish upper intermediate lessons fit me for mandarin!
one step at a time.
very good and important tip:
if you want to reach the heart of the chinese people, learn to speak chengyu and alot of it.
chengyu is very effective to touch the heart of the chinese people, especially effective indeed.

May 23, 2008 at 5:41 PMdoes anyone know how to use the i-flash thing as well? I have not been able to export my vocabulary list by the i flash type but only the two other styles which do no good if you are trying to put it on an i-pod. Rather perplexed over this or just unable to figure it out????? I hope somebody has successfully been able to put there flash cards onto there i-pod but not me.

April 19, 2008 at 5:57 AMI got a good idea for a lesson you could pray about doing. Maybe it would fit better in a elementary lesson. A lesson that would help you carry on conversations about farming and gardening. For example: As a question: In the past have you grown much grapes? Do you lose much of your crops because of bugs or animals? When I grew up I had a grape vine in my yard. I would like to learn a lot about gardening and growing plants because I love being able to grow my own food. Maybe I am just dreaming on here. Does anyone else think this would be a good topic in the future?
