Is this new dashboard working right?

Can someone please tell me how I can show lesson threads on the conversations pages? I don't know why, but they don't appear. I can only see group threads now.

Now I know "no lesson threads shown on conversation pages" is a temporary glitch, perhaps. I hope I'm right.

dunno mate. I don't think we can currently. I think we'll have to wait till the latest lesson comments are available in the community section hopefully in the next few days.I'd rather this way than a system crash. In the meantime we're able to familiarise ourselves with the new system.

Hi bababardwan
Thanks a lot. That's another "nice improvement" for me!

Another issue, not sure if it's been reported already, appears to be the last post info in the list of conversations. It is only showing the original post's time and date of posting, from what I can tell.
This could be the main reason why I am having so much trouble with it.

My late grandmother once told me that you shouldn't do something beyond your abilities, hehe.

this is a temporary measure while they're installing the new system.John has said it was intense to show all the lesson discussions at the moment and may have caused a system crash. I think it'll likely start showing in the next few days.

Why this (of general interest) has been posted into the Intermediate Group? One who only subscribed to the Newbie or Ele group will never read this! What a mess!

xiaophil,
I've just checked it out and when writing a new post ,under the box where you enter "title" is "group" button and a drop down list to choose which group to post it in.
It looks like the save as draft function has gone though unless I just can't spot it.

Yes, I noticed that too only after I made the post. I think because I am an upper-intermediate learner, I fall into intermediate "group," which in turn makes my default post setting intermediate.

I actually need a watch :-)
On topic:
fyi: I tried the "show oldest" and "show newest" buttons and the display order of lessons stays the same (newest below, oldest on top). Is this the way to show the newest lesson on top or am I missing something?
Still have to get used a little to the new dashboard but I like the compact view so far! And nice to have lessons and comments in one place, saves a window / click!

I'm sure Alan is a nice guy, but let's make a new Dashboard resolution to let guys like Alan know that this is a language learning site. Surely there is something we can do to deter watch salesmen?
I don't wear a watch. :-)

Hi Guys,
I read the post and subscribed to all the lesson groups and do not see any lesson related comments in the dashboard only non lesson group related comments in a non chronological order. Is this normal or maybe roll out is not completed?

chanelle,
The lesson comment display is slightly delayed to keep the server table is we complete final database optimizations. More info here.

April 16, 2010 at 02:34 AMI need a "select all the groups" button, and the lesson conversations (latest comments) tag on the community page.
