Henning,
The "Extra" lesson comments weren't getting counted at first, but now they are. That's your "interest." :)

Do we all get interest on our stock of posts?
If I see correctly I gained at least 20 points while sleeping, and Bazza almost doubled.
Wow!
;)

July 15, 2007 at 05:45 PMmoloch, I wasn't going to bring up the bloggers, but I'm just glad to know that someone knows we're still out here! *waves arms* HELLO! We're blogging our buns off in six languages out here! English, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish! Stop by and say hello!

Dave's right, I really would like to see more info on the staff we have come to recognize aurally and love! It's always nice to put a face to a name, but in CPod's case, it'd be nice to put a face to a voice : )

Still no direct links to the bloggers, what gives?
Why not remove the redundant Community link now and put in a link to a Blogger page.

In fact, I want to reiterate, it's almost as good as reduplication 了。

Now look guys, I must say that what you had to say was well said. ;p
Seriously, isn't there some sort of off-the-shelf blog widget that allows comment ratings by other commenters? This would be a nice self-managing system.

Bazza, I know what you mean. I was also surprised to be on the list - looks as if I have nothing better to do ;)

I'm delibrately trying to be the most active user, it just seems to be happen. I think I just spend too much time on here.

Now if you could rate comments you could attach a quality weight on the "most active users". That would be a booster for the high-quality posters (e.g. Changyes poetic reflections on life, Lantians page-long thoughts analyzing language learning and language usage, xiaohus all-mandarins additions etc.).
Of course Bazza will stay on no. 1 no matter how you measure.

The tweaks look good. I just noticed your 'About US' section might need some updating though.

John, did those errors on the pinyin sound chart get corrected? Can we rely on it being 100% correct now?

Bazza,
Hmmm, no vocab search yet, but it's coming. Stay tuned next week for other exciting vocab developments!

AZERDocMom,
Those are two good points. I think we can accommodate both. I'll take action on Monday.

Glad you like the footer. I noticed there's a problem with the section header links; I'll get those fixed on Monday.
@Bazza: Yes, some of us at ChinesePod have been pushing for more convenient links to the forum for a long time, and our persistence finally paid off. :)
Point taken about the Practice Plan missing. I will see what I can do. In the meantime, I recommend just clicking Home at the top of the page and then using the big "Review Your Practice Plan" at the bottom of the list there.

No. I am on "Practice Plan" and there is usually an area that tells me what lessons I should be studying ready for my next telephone conversation, but with the new layout it seems to have gone.

Hi John
I LOVE the tweaks!! You guys are so awesome, always improving and making life better for the poddies! The footer is very clear to see, well organzed and spaced out. It's easy to tool around CPod using it. Great job!!!
I noticed just a couple of things:
Subscription-it's not clear under which plan Qing Wen is included; perhaps I am missing it.
Admin-it's nice to ID you folks. I wonder if the font/color/tab could be a little softer, it looks a little harsh under the ladies' beautiful avatar faces : )

July 16, 2007 at 01:17 PMHeck, I'm just happy to be on the list. I knew I'd been more active than that list made it seem.
