Under the settings tabs there's only a "delete account" button. Not the same as deactivating recurrent billing.

Hi,
I am another user who is unable to cancel recurring billing. Under My Account there is a Payments button but when I click on that, I am taken to a page that shows my payment history and tells me when I'll next be automatically billed but that does not provide me any button to cancel that automatic billing.
I'm to be billed tomorrow, but I'd like to cancel my subscription before then. Can someone help me with this?
Thanks,
Eli

I've taken the level test a few times recently and it does not give results. It shows that I took the test, but no results come back, and no "virtual test" shows up to show mistakes.Does the level test not work at all for anyone? If not, will it work again?

Hi all,
To stop a recurring payment go to My accounts & then Payments. There will be an option to stop recurring payments there.
In regards to your question, we no longer offer a 2 year subscription. So you will not be billed again for that.

Nothing about recurring payments is showing up in my accounts either. Just the 2 yr premium sub , which I am pretty sure I did not agree to have renewable. Would be great to make it more clear, is this going to renew or not ?

Sean, please could someone reply to my question? If I don't have a recurring payment, will you change the home page which now says my subscription will be renewed?

When I go to Accounts then Payments I can see no option to stop recurring payments. Does that mean I don't have a recurring payment? If so please can the message on my home page that my subscription will be renewed be changed? Thanks

Then when i write on these forums to tell you \"team\" you dont even reply.
You have made me a very angry customer.

Hi Jenny,
While you're around, can I get some clarification on the recurring billing situation. I noticed on my homepage it used to say \"Your premium subscription will expire on...\". Now it's changed to \"Your premium subscription will renew on...\".
If I remember correctly, the recurring billing shouldn't apply to users who last made a payment before the recurring billing policy was introduced. As my last subscription payment was nearly two years ago, I believe my subscription won't automatically renew when it expires soon. Is that right?
I've noticed other users complain that they can't find a way to cancel the recurring billing. Perhaps your system is inadvertently misleading us to believe our subscription will automatically renew, when that's not really the case (because our subscription started before recurring billing was introduced). Can you clarify what's going on?
Thanks!

There isn't. Someone from CP wrote to me saying that if I cancel the recurrent billing, all my data will be cancelled, which is obviously rubbish since my account was dormant for the last three years years and I found it intact after renewing my membership yesterday!

Hi CPod,
Any chance you could respond to my original query at the top of this thread. It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Ah, thanks. I didn't see it as my browser was zoomed in too much. No 'cancel recurring button', though I'm assuming that's because it doesn't apply to me and it's just the homepage message that's misleading.
Thanks for the help :)

In the top banner on the right there is a "My Account" drop down. It should be in there.

Hi RJ, I can't even find a 'payment page' anymore. Any ideas where I should be looking?

once you sign up you need to cancel the recurring subscription. This will not cancel your current sub, just the recurring part so it doesnt renew. I was signing up a month at a time and doing just that. It worked, but if there is no cancel recurring button on your payment page then they need to fix that.

My situation was that I had taken a break from Chinesepod and then took out a new 6 month's subscription, which then automatically renewed against my wishes and expectation. I had seen no announcement of this. After the event, I then saw some correspondence on the issue, where it seemed that Chinespod were unrepentant - I was and remain angry.
I then went to PayPal and cancelled any new payment.
Subsequently I have taken out a new Basic subscription. I wish to know what the new situation is, especially in the context of the words on my Home page now saying that it will Renew. I am seeking assurances that it won't. I do not use PayPal much, don't really feel comfortable, and am not clear whether Chinesepod can just take money as they wish.

Hi MIke,
It was announced, this recurring thing and there was push back. The official response was get used to it. You can or at least you could, cancel the recurring part almost immediately after subscribing. It was working, at least it worked for me, Right nut had a problem because he waited until the last minute but my fear always was, cpod being cpod, things break. Any how here is the thread

In October 2013 my subscription was automatically renewed to my dismay and astonishment.
This is one of the reasons I have now reduced my subscription to basic only.
Now suddenly my home page says that my subscription will be renewed in October 2014. This is not according to my actions or wishes.
How do I stop Chinesepod stealing money from me again?
