Jenny starts out by explaining that one shouldn't say 对不起 for "sorry to hear that" when Connie came to work ill. But I still don't know how to handle some of these situations. I have searched here for a couple of hours to no avail.
A friend writes "已经看医生回来了，身体很不舒服，特别心脏。我想我不得不取消明天的MEETING了，因为明天我要到医院做几个化验。我想我们不得不下周二开始我们的MEETING了。真是事情太多了，好事多磨。我得躺一会，难受的很。那下周见吧。"
