秦淮河一带是明朝末年最有名的红灯区，其中有八个著名的艺伎，外表美艳又都擅长诗词绘画，被称作“秦淮八艳”。
qínhuáihé yīdài shì Míngcháo mònián zuì yǒumíng de hóngdēngqū ，qízhōng yǒu bā gè zhùmíng yìjì ，wàibiǎo měiyàn yòu dōu shàncháng shīcí huìhuà ，bèi chēngzuò “qínhuáibāyàn ”。
The area surrounding Qing Hui river was the most famous red light district during the end of the Ming dynasty. There were eight famous courtesans. They were not only beatutiful, but talented musicians, poets and artists. They were known as "The eight beauties of Qin Huai"
