Is the verb for "to wear" - 戴 dai4 specific to wearing things on your face? The examples in the expansion all use 眼镜 as the object of wearing. Is it different for hats? Clothes?

It's also worth noting that Ken left Chinesepod at the end of last year. And the comments about people's manner and personality are really unnecessary. Jenny's avatar is a picture of her face. Hardly pretentious.

Well, not literally. :-p Isn't ping pong a massive deal in China though? Certainly enough for it to be considered a sport right? :)

I played the first one (the exercise song) to my girlfriend just before we went for a jog as a nice surprise to get her in the mood for exercise, and she said "where the hell did you get that stupid song?!"

So thanks a LOT David :-p Perhaps some people's memories of school aren't quite so golden as others ;)

I was talking to a friend at the weekend (from Sichuan) who is dating, and she declared that Xi'an men "are all crazy." Is this a commonly held conception? :-p

斯诺克不是运动?还是乒乓?!

sīnuòkè bù shì yùndòng? háishì pīngpāng?!

Aren't you scared saying that in China? You'll get lynched!

I love this news and features!

I was driving up from London this morning (2.5 hr car journeys at 5am for the win) and was listening to an old "Dear Amber" quietly feeling a bit sad that I missed that era of chinesepod. Then listened to this news and features and it was like it had captured the atmosphere of those older podcasts and rejuvinated it! Sometimes the newer podcasts sound a bit business-like, but Daini is really brilliant to listen to, and Catherine sounded really happy to be in the studio with her :-)

Quite nice to hear a chinese speaker who doesn't sound either too concerned with being proper, or terrified of the microphone! (no offense intended, previous chinese contributors!).
