I shouldn't worry about it too much - after all, the reason we have you to listen to is because you are a normal chinese person speaking in a normal chinese way! I just wondered if it was a normal pronunciation, which I guess it is :-) Something for me to watch out for!

Great job Dilu! Look forward to hearing you more :-)

One question: the way you pronounce 手 seems quite different to how I've heard it before - is this a regional accent? It almost seemed to rhyme with 小 rather than "show" that I've heard before...

Oh, but at the end when you're talking about nursery, it sounds like "show" again... I dunno :-p

Ohh, I see. So it's more a child's way of saying it. As John would say, gad it!

I'm no expert, but as I understand it, 好吧?(hao ba) is a question, like, "ok?", whereas 好的 (hao de) indicates agreement, like, "ok!".

Question from an expansion sentence:

现在开始游戏 (Xiànzài kāishǐ zuò yóuxì)

Why do you 做 zuò a game rather than 玩 wán a game?

That definitely sounds likely. From what I heard with my girlfriend and her cousins, it's the ones they were closer to growing up or spent more time with that they refer to as 哥哥...

Aha! Thanks for that. I was just about to post that it must be 认识 and missed that you'd already replied!
