哦, I'm still here, although very much in lurker mode these days...

Perhaps after a series on cricket we could get a follow up series on the art of sledging?

Well, if you really want to feel inadequate, John, circa 2003, regards knowing 10,000 Chinese words as "a basic vocabulary; it is an accomplishment, but it’s nothing to be exceedingly proud about".

I also vote for a lesson on cricket!

Suggestion: I think it would be a good lesson to kick off the impending video lessons that are (apparently) in the pipeline.

Jenny would make a good opening bat, David could probably be the sheik of tweak...and despite the recent departures, there's probably still enough people in the office to just make a team.

I wonder what they call a chinaman in China? Aussies?

Don't tell there's not any useful vocab in a cricket lesson - I propose Cpod makes an entire series out of it!

(I'm more or less on strike until this happens)

This lesson covers pretty much all the vocab and sentence structures we covered in my first year Chinese class at college this year.

On a side note, what is the best/most natural way to say 'she often speaks Chinese with our teacher'. Can I say:

她常常讲汉语与我们的老师

and/or:

她常常跟老师说汉语

?

I've been 'studying' Chinese for a number of years now, but simple things like this can still trip me up...

Some very useful sentence structures in here...
