In the Podcast 'Lucky Day' at about 03:37, Dilu says 路走着走着走看到了, this obviously means 'as I was walking by I saw it'. Like the intro to this Podcast says, I'm perfectly happy to ignore it, without completely understanding it. What is the 着 doing here?

I've just noticed - the last line of the dialogue - 而且那个女孩今晚会来一起练习 - is that the right 会? Shouldn't it be 回来?

I seem to remember from a previous podcast that 土 (tu3) is associated with 'backwardness'. When I was teaching in Beijing, we got sent on a winter camp to Chengdu, where a lot of the Chinese teachers were describing the place as '土’ but I didn't seem to think so...like you said, I think it's very much a Chinese thing.

I had Tsingtao in Melbourne, and I must say it tasted a lot better than what I remember it being in Qingdao, PRC. Maybe it was 'export quality' or something?

Also, Xinjiang is an interesting place for a beer to come from, as most of the 新疆牛肉拉面 places I went to didn't sell beer because of their religious beliefs, but were quite happy for you to BYO.

I also here a lot of '哇, 为什么都是外国人真么高' or something to that effect when I walk past, but when someone asks me why I'm so tall, I'm not sure how to respond...

Must depend on where you are. I mainly spent my time in Qingdao and Beijing, and hardly ever saw a bottle of Soy Sauce, but found Vinegar to be a fairly ubiquitous ingredient...
