You can see the characters below on the screen and if you like the melody you can easily retain what you learned. I found that I am beginning to pick out the characters and phrases thanks to Chinese POD. No this is not a replacement. No one can learn hanyu by watching V. July 3, 2008 at 4:40 PMI wonder about the value of the test. Once one obtains the "Foreign Expert Certificate", does the HSK have any value? SAFEA regulations make no mention to the need for such a document, however it is certainly desirable to speak hanyu with a some degree of fluency. I wonder if this would garner preference with the Public Security Bureau's Invitation Letter?
