December 27, 2007 at 5:10 PMPersonaly, I like the Rock-paper-sissors game better. But, you don't really learn anything. So the numbers game sounds like fun. The game that I am most familiar with is the guess-the-numger game. Here you pick a number and then roll the dice. The first person to use X,/,-,+ with the number rolled to meet the number guessed wins. It's one heck of a hard game. And I always lose. Any one else familiar with this game. Chinese girls are especially good at it...

December 19, 2007 at 11:22 PMTaxi's are a bit of a mystery to me. In Shenzhen, we had two colors of taxi's. There were the red kind, and then there were the white kind. The red kind would only take you in a general local area, while the white kind would take you further. Their areas overlapped in certain areas somewhat. But not always. If you select a white taxi for a local trip the rate is much higher than for a red taxi. WHen I first came to CHina I just thought that the colors represented different taxi companies. Could anyone be able to clear this mess up for me? Is this local to Shenzhen, or is it prevalent in other parts of the middle kingdom?

December 17, 2007 at 3:25 PMI am battling a common problem with us Newbies. That is retaining the memories of what we have learned. It turns out that having 1/2 hour sessions 4 times a day is sufficient to allow the brain to rest and learn. FYI
