Let us read the sentences with translations instead in expansion. Still talk about word usage and grammar. Translate single words rather than whole sentences. I liked the topic. Made me think of 延禧攻略

August 30, 2018, 02:22 AMWhat I meant to say is that there wasn't any discussion of word usage. What happened to Chinese pod? I have loved it since the 90s. It wasn't broken; it did not need fixing. After waiting for 6+ months, this is the lesson you give us? I have been a subcriber since the chinesepod began. What happened to the exellent weekly upper level lessons? Where did the teachers go?

August 29, 2018, 01:58 PMI did not like the presentation of this lesson. There was way too much English for upper intermediate level. I like the discussion of vocabulary and grammar in Chinese. I felt like the teachers were having us do a repeat after me session. Since one can click on vocabulary and repeat after the word on one's own, this was a waste of time. I much prefer the old way of presentations. Explain how to use vocabulary throwing in a very small amount of English when necessary. There is no expansion or grammar sections. So compared to past lessons this was a waste of my time. WE waited for 6 + months for a repeat after me lesson for upper intermediate. Nothing wrong with the topic-just the presentation of the topic.
