I originally heard that 20% of the people do 80% of the work. But I find most people want to work hard, in any case.

I love the business lessons, but to keep them fresh, I would suggest more human drama, like irritating co-workers, or difficult bosses, being late for work, or, if you want to be very realistic, stark boredom.

This lessons reminds me of an earlier lesson "When the taxi takes the long way", which introduced to me the word 绕路

Im surprised it didnt make the related link list

I translated the whole text. Although I got some answeres, I still have many questions.

我 翻 译 所 有的 课 文 . 虽 然  收 到 某 些 答  案,   还 有 问 题.

for example where did chinese people come from?

比 如, 那 中 国 人  起 源 于 哪 里 呢 ?

what a tease

真 糟 糕 !

I love the vocab lists on the Olympics web site, Ive always wanted to know the basketball terms. Unfortunately, although the web design has a nice style, I cant print out the vocab lists. I cant even select all, copy and paste.

Im sure the cpod staff suffers from suggestion overload, but I do think adding vocab lists and grammar examples in a central location would be of great value. Somehow good study materials get dispersed all over the place.

mouseneb, Clay

I too have been to Wenchang, thats where my wifes family lives, its a small town and a small world!

My wife says I should mention Hainanese noodle as well. It is served cold with beef jerky and peanuts. My own opinion is that its 马马虎虎

van0000,

we enjoyed reading your recipe story too. I didnt realize there was "Hainan chicken rice" and "Hainan chicken" I think Hainan chicken and Wenchang chicken are sort of the same. Now I cant wait for my next trip to Wenchang

In New York's chinatowns, quite a few restaurants serve Hainan Chicken, which I would describe as sliced chicken served cold with a few sauces on the side. I dont know how prevalent this style is in Hainan.

Ive been to Hainan a few times. Its not quite Hawaii, but very bueatiful.

I think the expansion section is an excellent format, especially for getting used to grammatical constructs

Changye

your examples have confused me, is

我的电脑开不了机!

I guess that means "My computer wont start" But is that different than

我的电脑开不了!

杀毒软件开不了了! means "The anti virus software wont start" Is that different than

杀毒软件开不了!

thanks

Tom

I received some HSK preparation books many years ago. Unfortunately, without the assistance of pinyin, or the ability to copy and paste a hanzi character into a dictionary on the computer, my ability to read and write chinese is greatly diminished
