I have always wondered why people call it "Tai Chi" (太?)  or "Tai Qi" (太气) when it is really called "Tai Ji" (太极)??  Anyone have any ideas?

I am an American practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I think what is being overlooked here is what can eating 狗肉 do for us.  I thought this might shed some light to the subject...this is taken from the medical book

In other words you may want to get some dog meat for your grandparents to help with their painful backs and cold feet.  I am sure they would appreciate the gesture.
