November 18, 2010 at 8:26 AMHi,
I have a couple of questions. :-)
(1) Do you have to use "ge" after " Nǎ" to form "that" and why?
(2) In written pinyin whi is "5" often written after "nǔhair2"?
(3) What is the pinyin for "cute"? The expansion seemed to be missing this.
Thanks!

November 10, 2010 at 8:36 AMHi!
Im looking for advice on a good ongoing process for learning the tones. I am definitely finding this the most difficult part of learning Mandarin and was hoping somebody with past experience could give me some good tips for improving and possibly a long term process for actually learning the tones!
Also any resources for improving my tones would be very helpful!
Thanks in advance!

October 13, 2010 at 8:07 AMHi,
I see the verb "yòu" which appears to be "to be going" is translates as "to want" in the 6th expansion sentence.
How does this work?

October 1, 2010 at 2:53 PM"le" is also used in "Zěnme le" and its purpose here does not appear to be to indicate past tense so an explanation in its different uses would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

September 30, 2010 at 4:33 PMHi,
In the main dialogue le is used in the sentence "Dōu bādiǎn le" and ba is used in the sentence "Wǒmen zǒu ba".
Can somebody please explain to me the exact purpose of these two words and what the differences to the sentences are with and without these words?
Thanks!

One small additional question!
why is the 5 written after the word in this case given i have not seen it written after any other words and i assume the lack of any tone mark indicates the 5th tone.
