November 13, 2007 at 10:56 PMUh, 白说, was this Jenny that tried on your classes? Woo! ;) Hmm... Does Jenny even wear classes? Well, most Chinese do, but I can't imagine Jenny in glasses. 她戴隐形眼镜(contacts)吗? And don't no one go saying I have a 孙女儿 in my photo!! (that would just be sad, and would mean I'm Bazza's dad) -R

November 11, 2007 at 1:06 PMSebire, does "girlfriend" mean friend who is a girl? :) Well, the question is, if a Chinese girl says 女朋友 does that just mean one of her friends, like if a girl says "She is my girlfriend" it in English? But to answer Sebire's question, 女朋友 is typically for a girl who is in a relationship, like English girlfriend. 女的朋友 is female friend, 男的朋友 is male friend. 男女朋友, as Bazza used in his example, is "boyfriend and girlfriend", so Excuter, while your statement is true in regards to welcoming Bazza back to real life, it changed the meaning of Bazza's fantasy. ;)

November 9, 2007 at 11:24 AMI haven't really checked out the Shanghai Show's web site (but have watched a few of the videos), but I was wondernig: Aric, or whoever can answer/discuss, just wondering how you are, if you are, making any sort of profit or at least breaking even with the show? Of course about half the people I tell about ChinesePod to ask this question about CPOD, ha ha, but of course ChinesePod has the lesson transcripts and exercises to offer...which usually people take as a possible valid business model. What about Shanghai Show? What's the business model you have? A wee bit curious...

November 7, 2007 at 2:15 PMMan I am so far behind on my MM's... feel I should listen like the 10+ I haven't listened to but then I would kick myself if I knew the movie but didn't participate. Where to start, where to start. (And a question for Brits... why does Firefox spell-check say "movie" is not a word, and also "mom" is not a word? I know you use film, cinema and mum, but aren't the former words in your dictionary/vocabulary at all? Crazy. Inquiring minds want to know...)

November 15, 2007 at 8:31 AMWhat, It's Jenny's birthday and all you can talk about is rain? Signs when a company is going downhill.... (haha, just kidding of course. ChinesePod never ceases to amaze me). And oh, another happy day: Happy 700th lesson, ChinesePod! Can any text book claim that? (that book would be hell to carry around...)
