Zhejiang is where most of my coolest and most interesting students here in Beijing come from. Why do you favor the "r" over the "n"? I thought that was a BJ and northern thing. I could be wrong. I am often wrong...

So Connie you seem to pronounce more "r"s than "n"s when you speak and now I learn you are NOT Shanghai ren so are you a BJ or Hebei or Shandong girl? This might explain the "r" sounds you prefer at the ends or words like wan(r) and dian(r) and the meiyou gan qing you have for Shanghai.

So I am not complaining about the "Shanghai brand of Chinese" classes.  Anything you guys wanna put up is appreciated, but are these efforts coming at the demise of "intermediate" lessons?

A great lesson and a record number of "egg samples"! Maybe we can have a QingWen where we get spicy recipes to go along with these egg samples. Liliana, I am teasing and I think you are a doll, but can you get John to teach you the "z" sound in certain English words?
