July 8, 2010 at 4:22 AMIn the expansion section on the sentence:
你有没有笔
In the background of the recorded voice, there is a strangely familiar sound - a kind of electronic, bass-pitched vibration. After multiple listenings, I have concluded that Chinesepod is so rich these days, that employees now enjoy company-sponsored, light saber training in their spare time! Very jealous!

June 23, 2010 at 11:28 AMI am looking at Portugal and Argentina and I am saying, "Yikes!" They are solid!
Chile is the longshot for me! No way, but it would be cool!
Of course, USA! USA! USA!

June 23, 2010 at 11:01 AMIt's an amazing Cup so far with great battles in all groups except for a couple of runaways. The New World teams are performing beyond expectations: Paraguay, Chile, USA, Mexico, NZ, etc.! France is crying and I love it. Italy struggling pleases me! Japan is tough and fun to watch. NK seems to be out of gas after a great performance against Brasil. Now England, even though they are in the USA group, bothers me. I like them and am kind of upset that their play is down, but I know I need them to do badly so the USA can get through. Very mixed emotions!

June 7, 2010 at 10:13 AMXi'An has a hotsprings located not too far from the warriors. After a whole day of being pushed and shoved by "history" lovers, it was very nice to soak in those springs. Also, the birds! There is a terracotta swan and a couple of terracotta cranes that are a lot rarer and utlimately more valuable than the soldiers. Whoever did them knew all about birds in motion. Real genius.

June 5, 2010 at 12:38 PMUpper Intermediate is a big leap from Intermediate, but it's time I made a move. John, your Chinese is very pretty. First time I hear so much of it. Man this is a tough language!

June 2, 2010 at 2:45 PMIt's pretty funny that people "are not not happy with this lesson" for reasons other than Chinese reasons. Pesticide/insecticide is still a word in any language so you need to learn it even in order to complain about it. So silly. Silly silly silly. I love Chinesepod.
