September 6, 2012 at 12:06 AMwell advised, though I always appreciate your sincere and frank posts. 遗憾的是有不认识你的人发表 雄的建议。 我以前是教小孩的。 我的儿子跟你的女儿也有一点像的经验。 我支持你的决定。

September 5, 2012 at 4:02 AM下次 means "next time". I know “下一站” sounds weird ( "next stop" ), but I've ridden the subway enough times to know that it's what the recording says. No idea why " 一“ is in there.

September 5, 2012 at 3:58 AMI'm not sure how that sounds. Maybe it's like in English when you say "how about we take the subway?" which is not really a question but rather a suggestion. I didn't mean to imply that your proposed alternative is wrong.

September 5, 2012 at 3:47 AM"I'm fluent in Javascript as well as Klingon" (Weird Al, White and Nerdy).
I'll read the article later, but I don't want the facts to interfere with my opinion. To equate 24 supposed dialects of American English with the linguistic situation in China is rubbish. There are no "English" language groupings in the US that are so distinct as to be completely mutually unintelligible unlike the situation in China.

September 5, 2012 at 3:29 AMI hesitate to explain the "mode of thinking in Chinese" , as I am not Chinese and not fluent, but I think thing the “ 还是 pattern" to which you refer has 还是 meaning "or" and the second option which follow is described as preferable by appending " 好".
I think you can think of it as "if we were instead to take the subway, that would be better.“ 我们还是坐地铁好。
If the 好 is bothering you and you want to omit it, you could say 我们还不如坐地铁。 "We would do better to take the subway. "

September 3, 2012 at 11:47 PMIn this context I believe 中 means to "hit the mark." So probably the speaker has wagered on some outcome or bought a lottery ticket. Maybe its an abbreviation for 中奖。 See the lesson on "Dropping Marriage Hints" for an ironic use of 中奖 . (Don't want to be spoiler, since its in the last sentence of that dialog.)
