November 4, 2008 at 6:15 AMProblem solved.
I searched the internet and determined it is a common technical glitch with some files with the H.264 Video Codec.
To get the file to work on your ipod:
1. Go to your itunes page
2. Highlight the problem file
3. Click on "Advanced"
4. Create iPod or iPhone version
5. Wait for the file to be converted
6. Delete the old file from your library
7. Re-sync your ipod

November 3, 2008 at 1:53 PMThanks Amber,
My ipod is brand new. It is just this lesson that does not work.
I just assumed it was a problem with the CODEC, since all the other CPOD videos work OK on my ipod, but have a different CODEC (MPEG-4).
From the comments, I note that other poddies were having the same problem. Any advice on how I can fix this ?

November 3, 2008 at 1:08 AMThere's still a problem with the Video CODEC attached to this file.
It reads H.264 (cannot be played on an IPOD)
The CODEC should read: MPEG-4
Can the CPOD tech team fix this ?
Thanks !

October 24, 2008 at 4:31 AM"You definitely need to pronounce it as 'shang4'"
Jenny: Is it not supposed to be pronounced with a neutral tone ?
By the way, I heard the "S"...it probably is the natural speed of the native speaker that makes it challenging to distinguish...
Also...in the Audio Review, is this really a native speaker ? The pronunciation sounds perfect, but I think I detect an accent ?

I tried using this phrase with some Chinese friends: "wo bijiao yigenjın"... However, they all did not really understand it. When I showed them the PDF transcript, they said they somewhat understood it within the context of the dialogue, but that it definitely wasn't a common phrase. Is there something more colloquial to mean "I'm a bit stubborn" in Chinese ?

October 11, 2008 at 6:37 PMAn excellent tweak to the video lesson !
I must admit, I did not get much learning from the other video format, but this one definitely worked for me. I understood the entire dialogue on Jenny's first iteration.
Keep the innovations coming !
