当国民党被共产党打败逃离台湾的时候，国民党带去了无数的中国人工宝物，然后放在台北的故宫博物馆。

It has various origins. The literal meaning of turtle egg notwithstanding.
The stories and word play behind the meaning of this word are colourful and imaginitive. However for reasons of brevity I'll cut it short.
It refers to a person who doesn't display any of the eight morals a good person should. 忘八。
One reference is given to a man who relies on a prostitute for a living。Another to a chap called王建 who while a young rascal used to slaughter cattle， steal mules from poor peddlers，and peddle smuggled salt。
It is a highly derogatory term and should be used with caution。

明白你的看法，说实话，我也有一点懒惰，就是冬天不敢起床，呵呵。我从事建筑，背部现在不行，冬天特别麻烦。不过我没有抛弃梦想了。你写的话，好像我听说过，是不是来自中国古代的故事？追求理想工作的过程中是不是必要经过些吃苦的阶段？
