April 30, 2009 at 4:15 AMa few of my favs:
very similar to 回锅肉, but without green chilli peppers.
most westerners like this dish. pork and spring onions with blackbeans and garlic. of course you can ask the waiter to add chilli if you like, i like:)
good brekky fix for a hangover. fried eggs and tomato with garlic, no chilli in this one.
capsicum and sliced threads of pork with garlic and ginger.
as the name suggests home cooked toufu. toufu with pork, garlic and ginger, chilli peppers optional. in sichuan also with sichuan peppers.sometimes with peanuts.
these little beauties are a sensation. stewed eggs. stewed usually in their shell in a mix of salty soy soy based stock.
for really rich flavoured pre-packaged ones you can try any 红旗 convenience store. yummo.
eggs are a good guy again and not the nasty fellows that we were lead to believe before. nature's multi-vitamin pill.

it seems that apart from using a bike parking lot where there are poeple to watch over it, no matter what method you use to lock up your bike in the end it'll get stolen.
is the place you mentioned nine holes(eyes) bridge? i've bought a bike from there before. i've bought three bikes before and they have all been stolen。

great stuff, never get bored watching it no matter how many times i've seen it before.
the brigde of death (knowledge), more like the bridge of death (trivial pursuit and conceit) no doubt.

April 30, 2009 at 12:32 AMthis poem reminds me of a monty python movie, the holy grail, people seeking a magic formula that will bring instant understanding, enlightenment, and ultimately justify their actions and pre-conceived prejudices.
all the while the answers sought lie within themselves, if only one could see.
i think it was plato that once answered a student who praised his understanding of the world and asked how knowledgeable is he with ''I know nothing"
it's just a flesh wound.
but you've got no arms or legs, i've chopped them off.
i can still bite you know, come back and fight like a man, coward!
