this bloke 崔健 matt_c introduced to me and his lyrics are 'sensitive', very popular in china's counter culture in 80s and 90s. good tunes too.
轮回乐队 and 清醒乐队 are also very good
this mob 刺客 are a taiwanese band from the 90s, heavy rock and depressing rock ballads. pretty good.
any music that doesn't resemble the tripe that is regurgitated over and over is worth searching for.
