January 8, 2012 at 10:55 PMI tend to use the expression 喜新厌旧 instead of 厌旧喜新 because it sounds much better to me in this order (the tones come naturally).
Some people say it doesn't have the same meaning and some people say it's the same. What's the truth ?

December 14, 2011 at 11:25 AMI wonder if the popular french expression "On n’a pas gardé les cochons ensemble" (我们没有一起养猪 , At the farm we didn't look for pigs together) could have an equivalent in chinese. It means "我们都不熟悉".
Working on the same difficult job in the fields could forge a bond between two people (almost a family bond).
