Auntie 68, You embody every wonderful quality of SIngaopre and its people. I went to an international school called ISS (International School of Singapore). It was on the top of a small hill, so I always told people that I 'hiked' to school everyday.

With water service here, small, neighborhood based companies deliver within hours. With big comapnies,you have to give it a day or two. But water from small companies might not be the most reliable. I once saw advertisement for Evian water at 700 RMB a pop. Ouch.

anayelena, 在 creates a present continuous tense. Even though Chinese doesn't distinguish tenses as clearly and frequently as English does, 在 is commonly used to express that an action is taking place at the moment.
