goulniky,

Thank you for your always helpful suggestions. Quite frankly, we've been struggling with creating in-depth content for business lessons. I think mainly because myself and other writers havn't worked in a 'hardcore' corporate environment. So the lessons are always a bit removed from the real business world. But we'll work with people from Praxis who are more involved in business operation to come up with better content. Thank you!

Business lessons are certainly highly demanded by Poddies. On top of what we are doing, we are thinking about ways to make them more focused and professional, such as working with business professionals to write content. Your suggestions are very welcomed and appreciated.

Another thing is format. In general, our lessons are social conversations. But what about using case studies where the focus is more precise? I sometimes fear the social aspect of our writing style dilutes the level of professional content.

Guys, let us know.

mikeinjubei,

Those would have been my shoes if I lived in feudalistic China. Foot binding was a hallmark of the dark ages in China.

username234,

你可以说“被用英语回答”。不过更自然的说法是“他们经常用英语回答我。”

thebigpicture,

Feel assured that we don't mean anything mean. Chinese sensibility and humor tend to be lower on sarcasm.

The guy said 互相学习/hu4 xiang1 xue2 xi2/learn from each other in the dialogue. He has a point, no?  I guess the thing is how you do it.

sushan,

resonate: 同感/tong2 gan3(same feeling)  共鸣 /gong4 ming2. 我有同感/共鸣。

One more word for supplementary vocab:

亲热/qin1 re4/ to make out

他们在亲热/ta1 men zai4 qin1 re4/they are making out.

I am often in danger of missing the flight for a totally different reason.

mikenotinjubei,

A hearty welcome back! Your support dating back to the first days of Cpod is deeply cherished. Not in Jubei, where are you now?
