February 3, 2010 at 7:33 AMThat's because the word 衣服/yi1 fu2 in Chinese means clothes which you wear in your upper body. I suppose the English translation 'clothes' might be a bit misleading.

February 1, 2010 at 9:27 AMYes, 有事 works with spouses too, although they are much more likely to further ask “有什么事？” But I think the longer you are married, the easier it is to get away with just saying "有事".
改天见 is common especially in situations like the one in the dialogue.

January 27, 2010 at 7:47 AM歪曲 and 扭曲 both have the meaning of 'to distort, twist, misrepresent'. You can use either of them to mean 'to twist the truth', 歪曲事实, 扭曲事实. But 扭曲 can also be used with physical objects such as buildings. For example, 地震后，楼房都扭曲了/The buildigs were destorted by the earthquake.
Furthermore, it can also be used to refer to twisted personality, 人格扭曲。But 歪曲 is mostly used with 'truth'， 歪曲事实。
