November 30, 2008 at 4:12 AMHi hwangd01!
Jenny speaks 上海話 and so does Vera...don't know with Connie though. Connie, having grown up in 浙江, either speaks 閩南 or 上海話。。
Being a Cantonese speaker, I totally agree with you that Cantonese is "robust". :)

November 23, 2008 at 3:40 AMThanks amber! I plan to take up Mandarin or Cantonese studies in college. :) I have at least a year to go before graduating in high school. Can you recommend any good universities in TW? :)

Some people in HK though prefer to write the Japanese variants (only if they know it) of some characters. :P
e.g.
Anyway, Amber when you studied in 台灣, what character system did you use? TW uses the Trad. character set, but is it an option to use simplified characters in their universities?

November 9, 2008 at 5:30 AMObama's cool and all... and Filipinos support him big time. I just wish that he'd become pro-life instead of being pro-choice. :P...

November 7, 2008 at 11:42 AMhey light!
Yup,會 is the only thing needed in that sentence:
Some of the people I meet in chat though ask me like this:
(lit. Can you Chinese?)

November 1, 2008 at 9:11 AMHi changye! Thanks for the info!
My step-姐妹(x 4) call me:
阿龍(aa lung; nickname)
龍碩( given name;long2shuo4 or lung sek)
大哥大(cellphone, because i'm the only one with the crappy phone)
哥哥(go go) for 2 of them and 弟弟(dai dai) for the older 2.
How about you?
