5:20 “。。。因为很多人没这方面的意思。。。没有保险的意思。。。比如说,我母亲一直追我结婚,但是我还没有这方面的意思。。。”
哈哈,有“婚姻”保险就不必什么考虑了吧!
其实,不是搞笑,查起来真的有“婚姻保险”这一回事:

January 2, 2011 at 3:12 PMHi sydcarten. There are many factors that goes in spelling of names than pinyin. I'll give two examples from my family: 1) My father and his brother have the same surname, but different romanizations ("Hiew" and "Chiu"). It is purely because when they were born, something happened when the birth certificate were filled out by my Chinese grandparents and the local hospital staff in Malaya, none of whom understood anything about how Chinese names are romanized. 2) My wife's great grandparent was from Guangzhou. His name in Cantonese was Lui Hop Yek. When he arrived in Australia it got converted to "Louis Hopyek" (all his subsequent descendants all had the surname "Hopyek" :-S).
Strange, but true...

December 28, 2010 at 10:07 AMHi sydcarten. Yes, "ba" is the pinyin for 爸, 4th tone if used singular and 4th tone-neutral tone when used in pairs 爸爸.

December 28, 2010 at 10:05 AM> Also: "pa" fourth tone means "to fear." Hmmm...
And "ma" with a change to 4th tone also means "scold" (骂/ma4)... pretty much the package for marrying into a Chinese family, don't you think?

January 7, 2011 at 3:35 PM我还是不大明白城管和警方的关系。表面上看,城管好像是个小小的市政公务员,于西方city council inspectors有所相同。可是阅读进来“城管打警察”的新闻,城管看来权力广大,不存在警方执法控制之下。到底是怎么回事啊?
