And would there be any differeence in meaning?

When I learned my copy-paste, it was all about Ctrl-KB, Ctrl-KK, Ctrl-KC, and Ctrl-KV.

I am totally with you...that type of theories tends to be reversed every other year. Each time based on convincing arguments and seemingly bullet-proof evidence . Similar to the fields of child education, diet, pregancy, lifestyle, or language learning.

The best approach is probably to try out (and alternate beteween) different approaches and stick with those that suite you most. If it hurts - don't do it.

For me this book was an eye-opener in this regard.

Despite the fact that I am still sceptical regarding some of the over-enthusiacticly proposed theories. And you of course one needs to take the often anectodical style with a grain of salt..,

Saw such things, too. My parents got out their special outdoor hiking shoes for the "rainforest tour" in Hainan, worried if those were sufficiently hardcore. Only to find that our Chinese co-travellers were indeed wearing flip-flops or even high heels. But of course, the trails were made for that type of audience, so even I felt over-equipped with my sports shoes.

From what I saw in the 玉渊潭公园 while in Beijing last month, at least the Chinese running community is not yet slave to the sportswear industry - lots of people just wearing old trainers, ordinary T-Shirts, or army clothes. No sophisticated functional clothing, expensive running compression stockings etc. etc.

Also, refreshingly lots of barefoot runners - way ahead of the west.

If you got a hiccup: take a tea spoon of white sugar and it will *immediately* go away.

OK, placebo alert here...but that doesn't matter because it (still) works 100%! Try it!
