June 9, 2009 at 3:26 AMHi changye, I don't like 臭豆腐 at all, it smells like stinky shoes. But I really don't know why I love durians, they are always fascinating and I cannot have enough of them! You definitely should try some!

June 9, 2009 at 2:41 AMMy favorite fruits are, namely, durian, mango, papaya, of course, watermelon, I'll try to blend these fruits. My parents frowned when they saw durian, they said they lost their appetite! I don't understand them. I also want to have a taste of the mixture of banana and watermelon. 祝我好运吧!

June 8, 2009 at 9:13 AM@amygao, It would be fabulous if you try the language struggle dunderklumpen mentioned above. You're right, the best place to study Manderin is not Shanghai or Guangzhou, things are much better if you stay in Beijing or some small cities in Hebei province, but sometimes it depends, it helps if your friends and co-workers could speak perfect Manderin.
@dunderklumpen, that is funny, it's not polite to ask a stranger for his contact info. At least, I won't tell a stranger mine.:) You do have Chinese friends around you. Maybe you can visit their restaurant more often and practise! Cheers!

June 8, 2009 at 3:53 AM@siteng, until the last round, tea is served counterclockwise, and the last round is reversed, and I'm not sure about Thai tea, maybe you could take a look at here.

June 8, 2009 at 2:00 AM@dunderklumpen, do you have the chance to speak Chinese every day? And I'm sure learning this language could help you enjoy more great Chinese food. BTW, “鸡的脚”,you can say "鸡爪" jīzhǎo instead.

June 5, 2009 at 8:11 AM@dunderklumpen, do you know the famous 东北 comedian 小沈阳 xiǎo shěnyáng,the guy is always dressing like a woman in his shows, there is a link to his shows, and I'm sure you'll know something about the Harbin accent. It's funny and I really like their unique sense of humor.
I'm still searching for the 廊坊 and 承德 accent mp3 or video for you, it is a little biiit time consuming.......haha I'll be back!
Posted on: Hot Pot
June 9, 2009 at 4:03 AMWow, a super sweet competitor! This time..... mission impossible, Matt! And Jiaojie is sooooo cute, "我不吃辣", haha! There are some famous brands I've ever tried and they never let me down, "小肥羊" "Xiǎo féi yáng" and "京福华肥牛" "Jīng fú huá féi niú". The two restaurant have different pots! In xiaofeiyang, the pot is same to the one in this episode(mild, spicy and manderin duck pot). But in "京福华肥牛", things are different, there are individual pots, cute spirit pots!
@henning, I have no idea about the Shangdong hotpot, it must be similar to Sichuan hot pot. I remember one of professors' words of this “麻辣烫”,"hot hot hot", haha, sounds interesting!
