I'm assuming these sentences are all correct since I see few corrections. I learned several of my religious words from someone who doesn't know tones very well and taught me tones contrary to the above sentences.

I usually root for the beauty underdog in love triangles.  In this case, Lǐ Yàn.  Perhaps she should hit him with her cute 1970s big yellow smile purse each time he looks at Yáng Jié.

I'm a little confused by this sentence structure:

你一点也不像你妈妈。nǐ yīdiǎn yě bù xiàng nǐ māma.

Why the use of也 (Yě) instead of都(dōu)? So far I've learned一点都 (yīdiǎn dōu) Is there a grammatical reason or are they interchangeable?

Thanks for the http://www.nciku.com/ website. Its easy to find words. You can straight up type in pinyin, and some of the sentence examples also show pinyin, but not all of them.

If there are any other sentence example websites anyone knows that has all of the sentence examples in pinyin, let me know.

I'm finding that the http://www.chinesetopinyin.com/ is a bit hard to use because they give you several different options for pinyin answers, but I'd imagine it would be impossible for a program to interpret context. It's still useful. Thanks guys for the suggestions.

Hey John/whom it may concern,

It's kind of late now since it would take a ton of work to implement this, but it would be incredibly useful to have the supplemental vocab in the expansion sentences. I usually don't bother with the supplemental vocab since I can't see the words being used in context, but more recently, I've been finding that some of the words would be useful to know. I will look for other lessons with the same words, but often come up short in the searches. (Most recent example is learning "exit"="rùkǒu". I realized it would be useful to be able to say "Get off at this exit ramp", but I am not sure if I can say: "Zhè ge rùkǒu xià gāosùgōnglù." I searched "exit ramp" then "exit" under lessons with expanding the search and didn't get anything related.) Perhaps lesson preparation staff could have this in mind for some of the new lessons.

In the mean time, I'll be plugging interesting supplemental words into sentences in hopes that someone (community or staff) would give a thumbs up on my sentences. It's why I choose the sentence "I'm planning a morning ceremony" above.

Thanks Danchao! Great simple website. Perhaps the frequency of copy and pasting will push me to pay more attention to the characters.
