April 21, 2015 at 5:56 AMSome people say that tong4 is more painful than teng2. But there's probably some regional difference too, my husband is from the south and he never says teng2. He says when it's just teng2, not tong4, it's not worth mentioning :)

April 20, 2015 at 5:28 AMHi guys, thanks for the lesson! I'd like to ask about the exotic pronunciation of 垃圾 in one example sentence. The pinyin that's there is the usual la1ji1, but what the lady is saying doesn't sound anything close to that. Is that how they say it in Taiwan? It would also be great to bring back the little sound at the end of the review audio, just to let me know the lesson is over, it's not that my battery died or the app crashed. Thank you.

April 20, 2015 at 5:22 AMI think that kind of sentences omitting the subject generally mean "someone needs to do it" without specifying who. Can probably work as a less direct suggestion. Every so often I have a problem with people saying it that way, like do you want me to do it or are you doing it yourself after all?

April 17, 2015 at 5:33 AMIn the word list 兴奋 is pinyined as two fourth tones. According to the dictionary and what I hear the people around me say seems like it should be xing1fen4.
