I have now updated my Character Dictionary to include all the vocabulary from the Expansion sentences (as well as the dialogs).

HERE IT IS.

If you prefer to have only the Vocabulary from the dialogs, the original dictionary is HERE.

There is a Simplified PDF, but there doesn't seem to be a Traditional one.

Aside from making a statement a week ago that China would reduce CO2 levels by 'a measureable amount' by 2020 (no specifics were given as to how or how much), what other significant measures have been taken? Could you given an example of a specific global warming policy that China implemented 'the next day'?

I don't believe any country has made a policy to 'counter' global warming. At best today's policies will delay warming by a number of years.

Hi Cpod,

There seems to be a fair amount of vocabulary from the dialog not mentioned in the Key Vocab:

1. 大山 - dàshān (or just 山)

2. 另 - lìng

3. 傻 - shǎ

4. 孙子 - sūnzi

5. 最后 - zuìhòu

6. 成功 - chénggōng

Further, I know 座 (zuò) has been covered before, but not too often as a measure word - it might be new to many Ele's.

Also, with regard to 长高 (zhǎng gāo). Two online dictionaries read this as one word:  chánggāo.

I have to say your reading sounds more logical to me, but is it correct?  Either way, perhaps it too should be in the Key Vocab.

Finally, even though 挡路 is split in your dialog by 着, it is really one word meaning 'blocking the way' according to my dictionary. Perhaps it should be added too.

According to my online dictionary, 醉虾 means "frog".

Should I tell them they've made a mistake?

Thanks for that John. You say I'm motivated - well I guess I'm motivated enough to look elsewhere when a word is missing from your vocab list. My motivation with these posts is simply to help you make improvements for your students treading just behind me.

Your dialog includes the phrase  dǔ zhù  堵住.

My dictionary counts this as one word dǔzhù meaning "to block up"

Your Key Vocabulary only lists the word dǔ 堵 meaning "clogged".

Perhaps dǔzhù should be in the Key Vocab instead / also, otherwise the sentence in question doesn't seem to make much sense.

Connie,

This service is great. Why are you and John working on a Sunday. Is it raining in Shanghai?

Thanks again John. I hope you don't mind if I continue to post when I spot these issues.
