Thanks for that. I don't mean to nag - it just gets a little frustrating when the issues I (and others) raise are neither fixed, nor attract a response of any kind. (I'm thinking of the Manila lesson here). Just a quick 'onto it' would suffice. Anyway, its good to know this squeaky wheel is finally getting some grease.

In the Intermediate Lesson 'Watching a DVD', there is the following Expansion sentence:

这部电视剧每天放两集。

Zhè bù diànshìjù měitiān fàng liăng jí.

This TV series is played two times every day.

In what cases is 集 (jí) used to mean 'times'?

Cpod,

This lesson does not appear in a lesson search.

I have pointed out this same problem a couple of times with the 'Manila' lesson, but it is still not fixed. Are my comments being missed, or simply ignored?

Regarding the expansion sentence:

大概八点钟的时候他来过。

Dàgài bā diănzhōng de shíhou tā láiguo.

He came around 8 o'clock.

I must be misunderstanding guo and le. Shouldn't the sentence end with tā lái le, not tā láiguo ?

Also, what is the point of the de shíhou in this sentence? I would have thought the sentence should have been: Dàgài bā diănzhōng tā lái le.

thanks Changye

As I've been going through the exercises, I've found numerous errors. Most of them seem too trivial to keep reporting here, and I have only posted recently when I am not sure myself. John has suggested sending him a message when I find errors, but I'm sure he would become annoyed with the number of messages I would need to send him. There should be a fault reporting system independent of these discussions and the PM system.

Regarding the expansion sentence:

怎么了?老板不给我加薪因为我来公司时间不长。

Zěnmele? Lăobăn bù gěi wŏ jiāxīn yīnwèi wŏ lái gōngsī shíjiān bù zhăng.

What's up? My boss refused to give me a raise, because I haven't been with the company for long.

Should the last character be cháng instead of zhǎng?

Yes, but from whose viewpoint? The speaker's or the teacher's?

Very strange indeed. The version of the PDF I previously downloaded is perfect, but the current online version is terrible. Even the lesson name is not right. 'Ordering Songs at Karaoke' has become 'Kraoke'. Makes you wonder how this can happen.
