Just bringing my unanswered question to the top:

Wondering whether the last line of the dialog should be   哎呦  instead of  哎哟 ?

I think this is how you would say it. Any corrections welcome:

我明天没办法看见你。

Wǒ míngtiān méi bànfa kànjiàn nǐ.

Cpod

When you go to the 'Full List' in the Newbie Lessons, and select this lesson, you are directed instead to the other similarly named lesson: Taxi Small Talk.

The problem only occurs in the full list - there is no problem with the more detailed Newbie List.

Do nèimiàn and nèibiān exist? Or can nèi only exist by itself?

How can anyone knock back a Manly supporter?

Come on, there must be another fan out there somewhere.

I too like to understand the meaning of each character in a 'word', because often that adds shades of meaning to the word (and very often it doesn't help in the least).

But, once its done, its done. I hope you don't break down every word in every sentence, including the words you've seen before. I think that would be an inhibitor of progress. The word breakdown should be done while studying new vocabulary, in order to get a feel for those words. But once you have progressed to studying sentences which use this vocabulary, you don't want to be held back by analysis of the character composition of each word.
