I find it odd that the main word form this dialog - 牛排 (niúpái) "steak" - does not occur in the Key Vocabulary.

Regarding the first line of the dialog, when is 开幕 (kāimù) used in preference to 开始 (kāishǐ) ? Could 开始 have been used here instead?

CPod. In the 13th Expansion sentence, your Pinyin mouseover for the first character is 'de'. Shouldn't it be dì ?

Well, I'm looking at the PDF for this lesson, and it definitely translates 英国人 as 'British', both in the Dialog and the Key Vocabulary.

In any case, if you are willing to give up CPod for such a trivial reason, you are clearly not a motivated student.

Perhaps these definitions for 所 (suǒ) from Nciku will be useful:

有所创造 (yǒu suǒ chuàngzào) create something or other

[ 创造 (chuàngzào) means "to create, bring about, to produce" ]

有所准备 (yǒu suǒ zhǔnbèi) be prepared in some way or other

[ 准备 (zhǔnbèi) means "to prepare"

11. (used before a verb to form a noun construction) what, that which, those whom, etc.] 所 (suǒ) verb (used as the object of 有 [yǒu] or 无 [qú] ) ⓑ As the object of 无 [wú], esp. in set phrases

无所准备 (wú suǒ zhǔnbei) need do nothing in preparation for it

CPod only started making PDFs for Qingwen with No. 112 (this is No. 94). At that time (7.5 months ago) they promised to gradually backtrack through the Qingwens from No. 111 to No. 1, adding PDFs. As yet, we have not seen one of those.
