Pete welcome aboard!

I was in Taiwan a few weeks ago and I definitely saw a lot more pinyin.  Even one of the MRT stops, which used to be Kunggwan(?) is now Gongguan.  For romanization, pinyin does make more sense than Wade-Giles, but I still like ㄅㄆㄇㄈ better for learning.

This is an AWESOME show.  Is this song somewhere on CPOD?  I wonder if Zhang Yi Mou put this all together.  It's beautiful!

Cool.  Thanks Johnb and... err... John.

Inland, that was the exact lesson I thought of too when I heard of Jenny describe wei1 in this dialogue.  As Ken always says, I guess it really is about making connections!

Hello,

What's the difference between 軟件 and 軟體?

I have a feeling the latter is used mainly in Taiwan but not certain...

Thanks!

Awesome dialogue!  I felt like I was right there on the mountain! lol  Some good useful phrases too!  Did you guys intentionally follow up with the 不動了 episode from 請問?

Ahh... Thanks Connie. If the subject was dropped and the sentence was just: 再一瓶吧? Would it be comparable to asking in English.. "Another bottle/round?" without a verb?

Cool lesson... really liked it. I agree with the other posters in that I'd love an explanation of LA or A!!! Is it really for chicks only? I think I got a new saying at the bar now! 我們再一瓶吧! Wo men zai yi ping ba! Let's have another round! That right? ;)

Ok I'm gonna try out a mushy one. 無論你離我多遠,我也會想到你。 Now matter how far apart we are, I‘ll be thinking of you.

謝謝Connie! I was worried that you couldn't use that pattern in other situations. Good to know it is flexible!

Gonna give it a shot.. 1.What are you all still talking about? 你們還在說什麽? 2.I hope you are all talking about your studies. 我希望大家都在說讀書。 3.He is always talking about money. 他總是在說錢。 4.Did you hear us talking about you? 你聽到我們在說你嗎?
